(1) In any place where the manufacture or sale of unsafe, harmful or quality consumer goods is being distributed or services are being provided or any work is being carried out contrary to the Act or the rules made under this Act. If there is reasonable reason to believe that the inspection officer can inspect, investigate or search the place.
(2) According to sub-section (1) during the inspection, investigation or search, if it is found that the production, sale, distribution or service of non-safe, effective or quality consumables is being carried out, or that actions are being taken contrary to this Act or the rules made under this Act, the inspection officer shall take such consumables. The production or sale of such consumables or the provision of services will be prohibited for a specified period by taking samples as specified.
(3) According to sub-section (2), the report regarding the action taken by the inspection officer shall be submitted to the Government of Nepal within three days.
(4) The procedure to be followed by the inspection officer during inspection, investigation or search shall be as prescribed.
(5) Other duties, duties and rights of the inspection officer and the provisions regarding the implementation of the report given by the inspection officer shall be as prescribed.
